We’ve been keeping ourselves quite busy lately, the Beverly Update is still going strong and should be primed and ready for this Summer! Speaking of this Summer, I have a lot of exciting news to share, all happening in the next few months! Keep reading so you don’t miss out! 👀
You read that right! We’re finally releasing Spiritfarer physically, August 3rd 2021! Pre-orders are available now in most regions: spiritfarer.iam8bit.com!

We’ll be releasing a PS4 and a Switch version, both come with the Digital Soundtrack and the Digital Artbook, alongside a collectible postcard and sticker stamps set, showcasing some exotic locations from the game!

Earlier this year, The Escapist reached out to us with interest of expanding their documentary series Gameumentary by doing a deep dive into Spiritfarer. Loving their past documentaries, we couldn’t say no! We’re so excited and can’t wait for you to see the journey that led us to making Spiritfarer!

Nicolas Guérin, Spiritfarer’s Creative Director, is presenting at the Game Developers Conference this year!
His talk, entitled ” ‘Spiritfarer’s’ Journey: Crafting Tenderness “, will showcase his reflection on the design approached we used, and will present the challenges of crafting game mechanics around a wholesome message.
If you’re interested in learning more about our game making processes, the talk will be available for GDC pass holders during the event, July 19-23, 2021.
I’m overjoyed to share that JeviLevee, a member of the Sundered speedrunning community, has been selected to showcase his speedrun of our game at Summer Games Done Quick 2021!
If you don’t know, GDQ is a semi-annual charity marathon where gamers complete games as fast as possible while gathering funds for Doctors Without Borders. The event is scheduled for July 4th-11th 2021.
Every year, it’s a lot of fun, I highly recommend you check it out!
Oh, and JeviLevee’s Sundered run begins at 1:48AM EDT July 5th! I’ll be present in spirit and voice, so come join us and please support the event!
