Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying. You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends. What will you leave behind?
The Spiritfarer® Farewell Edition is the definitive edition of the award-winning cozy management game about dying. It brings together the heartwarming base game beloved by over 1 million players, along with three major content updates: explore an expanded world and befriend four new spirit friends! See why critics called Spiritfarer one of the Best Games of 2020.
History
Thunder Lotus’ previous productions, Jotun (2015) and Sundered (2017) earned high praise from press and players alike for their gorgeous visuals and challenging gameplay. Eager to explore other game genres and to tackle more mature themes and a richer narrative framework, Thunder Lotus brought on AAA-veteran Creative Director Nicolas Guérin to helm Spiritfarer. Guérin’s infectious passion for the project has proven to be a great motivational force for the development team.
Spiritfarer has proven to be Thunder Lotus’ most successful release to date, garnering critical praise and over 1 million copies sold. It is a multi-category winner at the Canadian Game Awards, and has been nominated for multiple categories across The Game Awards 2020, the 2021 BAFTA Game Awards, the 24th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, the 2021 Independent Games Festival Awards and the Hugo and Nebula Awards.
